Design Approach

My approach to design is fairly structured and considers common factors such as accessibility, user goals, business objectives, and environmental constraints. Typically my designs incorporate an 8px spacing system, typography scale, Figma's auto-layout, and some form of a design system, even if that means a primitive one for a small-scale client.

Every project I work on has a different set of challenges that my team and I need to navigate. This can include going through an extensive research phase and analyzing extensive amounts of industry and user-data or being resourceful with a small client and working with what we have in order to achieve our end-goals.

About Me

I attended college at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and graduated with a BA in Web and Digital Media Development in 2014. After graduating, I moved to Milwaukee to start my career as a designer at Ascedia. Over the past 9 years, I have worked my way from Junior Designer to Creative Director.

Beyond my work, I'm passionate about outdoor recreation. When I'm not at my computer you can find me kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, or just hanging out around a campfire with good company.
